I can’t argue with anything on this list (it is a personal choice, after all). However, I can comment:
#1 I assume you mean Get It On.
#5 Although Bohemian Rhapsody will always be one of my favourites, if you’re looking for rock from Queen, I think that Tie Your Mother Down, Sheer Heart Attack or Headlong would be better choices.
#16 I think Slade’s version of Cum on Feel the Noize is better.
#24 I’ve never liked Metallica much, but Enter Sandman is a classic.
I’m not sure what criteria you’re using for “glam rock”, but I would have added something by Mud to the list, perhaps Dyna-mite. Does Judas Priest count? I’d have included Breaking the Law.
Great feedback, Dennis! Based on your comments I will be updating and/or changing some of the entries on this list. I agree with the comment about better rock classics by Queen, but since Bohemian Rhapsody was so ground-breaking, is why I chose it for the list. I will change the Slade choice to your suggestion of “Cum on Feel the Noise” because you are correct, that is more in line with Glam Metal standard. I am not familiar with “Enter Sandman” but will give it a listen. And do that many people actually know about Mud? I do not really…I need to research them more. CHEERS!
You knew I was going to like this post! I love your site and checked out some of your other posts. Great job! You just got a new fan.
